Radford business owner Jeramy Guillory of Cafe 24 spoke to us about his Facebook message, which has created a lot of buzz in Radford. Also, we asked him about a special dinner hosted by Democrats at his restaurant and bakery today.

"We were standing out front and Joe Biden came by. I was hoping to get a chance to meet him. He turned and he went this way. I wrote on Facebook--'Joe went right r-i-g-h-t into the wrong restaurant. The left is over here at Cafe 24'- I think from that it blew up," he said.

Since the refusal became the talk of the town, and made headlines around the nation, some people are saying they feel the office of the Vice-President has been treated in an inappropriate manner.

Cafe 24  was quite busy Saturday evening. Many of the patrons were Democrats concerned about Biden's visit being declined by a business owner just a stone's throw away. They held a social event to discuss a wide array of issues.  They also wanted to stand behind the business owner as others have stood behind the other.

“The fellow next door spoke so badly about Biden's visit to the area, I thought I'd come down and give him some support,” said restaurant supporter William White.

Radford City Democratic Committee Chair Rebecca Shankman says she's concerned about the tension in the area and the possible effect on local businesses. “...because when businesses are successful, our city is successful and it's a shame to try and divine people because of a partisan issue or politics,” she said.
