It's taken a couple of years to complete, but now Radford University has what many are calling the cornerstone building on campus.

The building is for the College of Business and Economics (COBE).

RU says this structure will be the signature building for this university.

It’s taken lots of donors, and lots of alum dollars. The ribbon cutting took place Wednesday, but the building has been open since school started a few weeks back.

It has state-of-the-art classrooms and meeting rooms. This place is meant to give off a real financial world feel to it and it does.

The new classrooms are auditorium style, open and spaced just the right way, so students can work in private or in team settings.

The COBE building cost $44 million and spreads out over some 110,000 square feet.
