Recent rainy days have caused headaches for grape growers in Northern Virginia and Charlottesville.
But, it's a mixed bag for local vineyards.
In Botetourt County at the Fincastle Vineyard and Winery, the owner says this won't be the best year, but not the worse either.
Different types of grapes have different harvest times.
The red grapes won't be harvested for another week and a half, while the green grapes have already been picked.
Says Classey, "It did force us to harvest a lil earlier on some of our whites than we'd normally do if the weather was perfect. But in Virginia, it's just the risk you live with, 'cause the weather is never perfect every year."
In Eagle Rock at the Blue Ridge Vineyard - the owner says the dry summer made for a bountiful harvest.
But, she and her workers had to pick during the rainy weather that swept through the area.
