It's a donation that arrived just in time.
$80,000 worth of food has been given to the Roanoke Rescue Mission.
It's one of the largest donations the Rescue Mission has ever received.
Star Valley Provisions of Roanoke donated 17 pallets of Boar's Head products.
And it couldn't have come soon enough.
The Rescue Mission was about to run out of meat.
“We're serving anywhere from 900 to 1-thousand meals a day right now. And the line just keeps getting longer. And of course the later in the month it gets the longer the line gets,” said Joy Sylvester-Johnson, the CEO of the Rescue Mission.
Sylvester-Johnson also says that for the first time in the Rescue Mission's history they had more than 400 people spend the night last week.
