It's a day chock-full of graduations across Roanoke County on Friday.
Nearly 1,200 students are receiving diplomas.
At Glenvar High School, bagpipers helped send off the Class of 2012. The Highlanders held their graduation at their football stadium. Click here to see pictures of Glenvar's graduation.
Four other Roanoke County schools are graduating at the Salem Civic Center. That includes Cave Spring, which held its graduation at 9 a.m. The Cave Spring baseball team had to board a bus immediately after receiving their diplomas because they have a playoff game Friday.
Hidden Valley (11:30 a.m.), Northside High (2:30 p.m.), and William Byrd (5 p.m.) also are graduating Friday at the Salem Civic Center.
