ROANOKE COUNTY, Va.—
Roanoke County parents, have you finished your homework? Or at least your survey about homework?
The county school system wants to to know how much homework students should have, who should assign it and how much it should factor into grades. Administrators say homework is important. "It does have a purpose," director of secondary instruction Ken Nicely told WDBJ7. "The homework is designed to be an extension of the classroom."
Parents can offer their thoughts via an online survey through Friday evening.
