A Roanoke man has been charged with murder after an incident on Rugby Boulevard on Friday morning.

Tron Seaborn, 33, was arrested and charged with the murder of McArthur Jones, according to a news release. Jones was 33. He lived in Roanoke. Police say Jones was shot to death.

Officers got to the house in the 1000 block of Rugby Boulevard at 12:01 a.m. and found Jones on the front porch. They were able to get a description of the suspect and find out where he was headed, on foot, when he left the home.

Officers found and arrested Seaborn, who matched the description, at the intersection of 11th Street and Rugby Boulevard. They also found a gun.

Based on the investigation, Seaborn and Jones knew each other.

Jones was sent to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Seaborn has been charged with murder and using a firearm in commission of a felony.
