The Salem Police Department released a timeline of events Monday between dispatch and Franklin County Sheriff Ewell Hunt.  Sheriff Hunt called Salem to warn them about Deputy Jonathan Agee's plans to harm his ex-wife Jennifer Agee after receiving a phone call from Deputy Agee's father.

According to a news release from Salem, "There was no indication given to the 911 dispatcher that this call was in reference to an emergency, or that there was a sense of urgency to have the call returned immediately."

The 911 call was received at 11:18 a.m. on Monday.  Salem police say the caller identified himself as Sheriff Hunt of Franklin County and asked "If there was a shift supervisor handy, or if one could call him."

The Salem supervisor was out on a call at the time.  The 911 dispatch took down the message and Sheriff's Hunt's phone number.

Salem Police say the supervisor returned the sheriff's call at 11:31 a.m. and talked to him for about two minutes.  Police say the supervisor in Salem then notified fellow officers who were on duty about the information he received.
