A Salem business owner hopes holiday hours pay off for him and you.

Last year, downtown Salem merchants decided to stay open later on Friday nights in an effort to bring in more shoppers.

This year, there hasn't been a decision either way.

But, for the store- Countryside Classics, the owners decided they'd be better off extending their weekend hours.

"We've been doing it for year. We actually noticed last year that Friday nights weren't great for us, but they weren't bad so this year, we're changing it up a bit and we're staying open a couple of Friday nights," explains Countryside Classics Josh May.

The Mays say the store will also be open on Sunday afternoons.
