The Salvation Army makes sure every child has a reason to smile on Christmas but time is running out and your help is needed. The two angel trees at Valley View Mall in Roanoke are full. Each angel represents a kid who needs gifts.250 kids still need to be adopted. You can drop your gifts off at Valley View Mall or at Tanglewood Mall behind the Carmike Theater.
We spoke with Captain Ken Argot of the Salvation Army. “Every angel represents hope and if that angel isn't adopted, then that person is somewhat forgotten. We actually call them forgotten angels,” said Argot.
The warehouse where toys are held before being handed out to kids is still fairly empty, which is why donations are crucial. Donated toys will be accepted through this Monday the tenth.
