Hurricane Sandy generated wind gusts 50 to 70mph across the region Monday and Tuesday. While most areas had little, if any damage from the high wind, one family living off Route 221 in Roanoke County found a surprise when they woke up Tuesday morning.
While they were sleeping, the high wind had torn a tree limb off a nearby tree, tossed it into the air, and and it strategically rested on the top of Buford and Debra Overstreet's roof.
While it sure looks like it, the tree isn't actually going through the roof. Certainly a close call.
