Henry Elementary competed against 8,000 schools nationwide.

The rules were simple.  The top five schools with the most votes online wins.  Henry had the most votes.

That is pretty amazing when you consider Henry Elementary only has about 200 students.

Tina Woodford is a teacher at the school.  She told News 7, "We are shocked for one thing, considering who we were competing against and we have such a small school here."

Some of the supplies have already arrived.  Principal Robin Whitmer says they'll be put to good use since many families in the community are struggling.  "A lot of our parents have been employed in various industries in Franklin County, Henry County and we have a lot of parents who have fallen on tough times," said Whitmer.

The school also received a check for $1,000.  Henry Elementary will also get a thousand dollars worth of gift cards for the teachers.

Altogether, the prize totals $12,000.

Representatives from Avery Office Supplies will be on hand Wednesday for an assembly at the school.  It starts at 1:30.
