The Shamrock Festival drew about 2,300 volleyball players and 6,000 spectators.

There was very little snow to dig out today but a lot of it was going on indoors throughout the weekend.   
The 12th annual Shamrock Festival in Roanoke hosted 2,300 volleyball players.
    It's a tournament that drew players from as far away as Pennsylvania and South Carolina.
    It took place in 11 different spots around the Roanoke Valley.

    It's also a nice "spike" for area businesses as the 228 teams were expected to draw 6,000 spectators.
    Play began Friday and wrapped up on Sunday.
