ROANOKE, Va.—
If you're into science fiction and crazy costumes, then SheVaCon is the place to be.
The annual event kicked off Friday at the Hotel Roanoke.
It celebrates everything fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and paranormal.
This year, there was a retro costume contest, with a cash prize.
There are also a lot of vendors on hand.
