SOUTH BOSTON, Va.—
A South Boston man has been charged with raping a child younger than 13-years-old.
John Buckner is accused of forcibly raping the child between Jan. 1 and May 6.
Buckner was arrested Tuesday.
He is being held at the Halifax Adult Detention Center without bond.
An investigator with the South Boston Police Department says additional charges against Buckner are expected to be filed.
