ROANOKE, Va.—
It's been one delay after another for the new Steak 'N Shake coming to Roanoke. But there is finally some progress to report. Construction is taking place on the new building which will be located at Crossroads Mall right next to McDonald's. Many people are excited about having a new dining option especially since a new "Cookout" restaurant is also being built right now. Besides a new dining option, the local economy will get a boost too. “Well, I think it will increase employment so that will be beneficial to the community,” said resident Manny O’Neal. We contacted Steak 'n Shakes corporate office to see when the official opening date will be but our calls have not been returned.
