ROANOKE, Va.—
It was a scene from days past Saturday as a mighty steam engine pulled into Roanoke.
The 630 was an impressive sight pulling into the Old N&W Depot on Shenandoah Avenue.
Norfolk Southern and its partners are hosting 21st Century Steam excursion trips in a number of states including North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
Saturday, the engine did two-roundtrips, one to Walton and another to Lynchburg.
Both were sold out.
