ROANOKE, Va.—
Jurnee Carr is the reigning Miss Teen International 2011. Carr won the crown in July in Chicago, Illinois. Before winning the national title, 16-year-old Carr was Miss Teen Virginia International.
Carr is also passionate about animals. At age 12, Carr founded and established a non-profit organization, Jurnee's Journey:Helping All God's Creations. It provides funds and support to humane societies and animal rescue groups all over the world. Jurnee's Journey works to promote the importance of spaying and neutering animals to control the pet population and end euthanasia.
So far, the organization has raised over $15,500.00.
