Liberty University says its law school has been awarded full accreditation by the American Bar Association.
Officials at the university founded by Jerry Falwell announced the development in a news release Saturday. Liberty's law school opened in 2004 and was awarded provisional accreditation in 2006.
Along with its juris doctor degree, the school plans to offer additional degree programs including a master's in public policy and a doctorate in law. The law school also plans to launch study abroad programs.
