Authorities in Lynchburg say the shooting victim has been identified as Jeffrey Robert Rhoden of Lynchburg.
Rhoden was 41-years-old.
No other details have been released.

Police in Lynchburg say a man was shot and killed last night. They say they found the shooting victim lying on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds to his back.
Authorities say it happened at the intersection of Maple and Poplar Streets around 10 p.m. Monday.
Emergency Medical Services crews sent him to Lynchburg General Hospital, where he later died.
Right now, police aren't releasing any information about the victim or a possible suspect.
