A school board official tells News7 that no students were ever in any danger.

He says in a lot of ways the flooding happened at the best time because the school was getting ready to let students out for the day.

There were only slight delays with bus schedules.

The school board thanked the sheriff's office for its quick response.

Grayson County is already experiencing flooding.

The Fries School has three feet of water in its basement.

Students were in the building when the water came through around 3 p.m.

They were moved upstairs to the auditorium.

They are all out of the building now.

Sheriff Richard Vaughn tells it's been a number of years since the school has had this much water.

Right now Main Street in Fries is closed in three different spots, and there is almost four feet of water in the Fries Baptist Church parking lot.
