UPDATE: UVA board to consider reinstating ousted president

UPDATE:

The Board of Visitors will meet on Tuesday to discuss possible changes in the terms of employment of the President.

The Washington Post reported Thursday that some members of the Board of Visitors were trying to gather enough votes to reinstate Teresa Sullivan as president, and would not call for a vote if they did not have enough members to make that happen.

The President of the University of Virginia might not have to leave after all.

Some members of the Board of Visitors are considering reinstating Teresa Sullivan.

If they think they have enough votes on the Board to do it, they have until five this afternoon to call a special meeting.

Sullivan says she wants to keep her job if Rector, or board member, Helen Dragas resigns.
