Surgeons all over the country get hands on training inside of an 18-wheeler.

Covidien is traveling across the country in a mobile operating room.

It's an 85-foot tractor trailer and inside is a training center with six stations.

Surgeons, nurses, even gynecologists learn how to do minimally-invasive surgery through the belly button.

Experts say this surgery involves only one incision, quick recovery and no visible scarring.

This "school on wheels" is in Roanoke on Wednesday, training seventy-five staff members from Carilion.

Since 2010, this mobile tour has visited more than 100 cities.
