'Survivor' FVF Recap: There's Gonna Be Hell To Pay

Night 5 on Gota and tempers flare. The broken 'couples alliance' wants to know what happened. Matt crossed Reynold and his ego rise. He threatened him and said he is strong and has the idol therefore they need him. It is game on. Shamar overheard him ranting and starts a tirade about Reynold's plan not working to vote out Shamar. Shamar is making sense but his anger flares up and his tribe mates are uneasy. When Shamar gets amped up he starts yelling at everyone, including his allies that voted out Ally a few hours ago.

The next morning Eddie and Reynold regroup. They have a plan to let Shamar spin-off with his antics that will land him on the chopping block. Sherri pulls Shamar aside to tell him to cool off for the day. She warns him that those two will ruffle his feathers. Shamar feels like its a personal attack and he doesn't like playing this game.

Sherri surprises me. Her management skills over Shamar is impeciable. Any other person would have just quit and let him sink but she shes value in him. Granted, as a final 3 goat aka Phillip.

Speaking about Phillip, he is on the beach and notices Brenda working out with a rock. He precedes to do the same. He even uses a log! He rants about how awesome he is. I really couldn't understand it and I honestly feel bad for his teammate because he annoys me 1 hour a week while they have to be with him 24 /7.

Corinne and Malcolm couple up, non-romantically, because everyone else has a pair in the game. Those two go look for the idol and Malcolm finds the idol. I repeat, Malcolm FINDS the idol. He isn't thrilled Corinne knows of the idol. But, he did make an ally in their secret.

Malcolm and Corinne do a bad job at covering up their alliance because Andrea sniffs out those two. She goes to every single person and plants an anti-Corinne seed. The main alliance switched out Corinne with crazy Brandon, for now. Brandon has been told he is safe. But he is skeptical because of his original season with Coach.

Shamar is skeptical about being on Survivor. He is thinking of quitting; he is not happy. I believe he is being genuine about wanting to leave and this allows the tribe to see him as a vulnerable person. A genius play to rally emotional support from the females. Reynold is not buying it.

Immunity Challenge

Jeff: "Favorites, take a look at the new fans tribe, Ally was voted out"

Fans: "Who???? All the girls look alike"

Okay the fans didn't say that verbally but their looks were a giveaway.

For this challenge the whole tribe has to swim out to the ocean and climb over a large bamboo cage. Once everyone is inside the cage, one member will unlock the door underwater. Then, the tribe has to carry a heavy chest to the beach. The chest has to be put on a track. Parts of the track are missing and needs to be connected using a graveling hook. Once the chest makes it down the track and onto a platform first, the tribe wins immunity from tribal council.

Go!

Reynold and Eric are strong swimmers while Laura has trouble. Reynold actually goes back to push her forward. Favorites have a lead while they are in the bamboo cage. Eddie makes fast work to unlock the door and they are ahead of the faves. Brandon is slow at untying the ropes. It is a race to drag the chest to shore. The fans have a slight lead. However, favorites are first to get the chest on the track. Its now a graveling hook-off. Reynold connects for the first section of three on the track. Phillip connects for the faves. Malcolm connects the second section  and they are in the lead. But wait, Shamar just connected the second section and its a showdown. Brandon vs. Eddie on this. Brandon gets lucky and connects and the favorites win their second immunity challenge in a row.

A Little Hope for Now.

Back on Gota, the tribe tries to regroup. Reynold throws shade on to Shamar but he doesn't need to. Shamar is childish. This vote should be easy.

Laura feels uneasy because she sucked on the swimming part. She wants Hope gone. The majority come up with a plan to split the vote between Hope and Eddie. In the revote, vote out Hope, in-case the idol is played.
