These Survivor editors are horrible and needs to be fired. Kim is the obvious winner, I have been saying this for weeks. The editors should hide her a little better because it’s getting to the point when you can predict an upcoming Kim confessional. After rewards challenge –Kim confessional. After Immunity challenge – Kim Confessional. Alicia insults Christina –Kim Confessional. It’s like, we get it, can we move on now. I rather hear about Christina’s strategy or find out more on the Looney Bin Tarzan fell off of.
It is the loved one’s challenge. Normally, episodes like these are super boring because I don’t want to watch people cry because they haven’t seen someone in 30ish days. I understand that everyone feels paranoid and seeing a family member brings them comfort. Watching people cry makes me feel uncomfortable. With that said, I was really touched by Christina’s story. Yes, she is painted like a fool by the editors. It is just sad to see her not spend time with her father who may or may not be alive when she gets back home. From what I recall, her father recently received a kidney transplant and his life expectancy is to go in the next 5 -10 years.
The reward challenge had everyone partner with their loved ones. Attached to a rope, they had to unweave themselves to the end of the line. Winners receive a feast, but more importantly, time with their loved ones. During the challenge, the 3 standouts were Kim, Chelsea, and Kat. Kat barely beat out Kim and chose Kim and Alicia to join her on the reward. This infuriated Sabrina, not because she wanted to go, she believed Christina and Tarzan should have gotten time with their family members.
On reward, Kim received another segment of –What’s going through Kim’s head. She told her sister about her final 3 plans with Kat and Alicia. Kim believes it’s smart to take 2 goats, people who would not win even if they were the only ones on the ballot, to the final tribal council. Kim then says that her biggest threat to win is Sabrina and she needs to go ASAP.
Back at camp, Sabrina tells the group how selfish Kat was for choosing the people on the reward. Sabrina makes a plan to vote out Kat. Chelsea agrees but cannot make a firm decision until Kim comes back from reward. Apparently, Chelsea cannot think strategy without Kim’s help.
When Kim comes back, she tries to convince Chelsea it’s best to vote out Sabrina, soon. Kim plays like a robot, very emotionless. Chelsea plays with her heart. Combining the two and you have a lethal weapon.
This immunity challenge made the contestants stand on a ledge over the ocean holding onto a rope behind their back. Every time Probst turns the wrench, more slack is added to their rope and their bodies get closer to the water. Last person standing wins immunity. Sabrina was the first one out. This is surprising because everyone thought she was athletic. The last two were Kim and Kat. Lasting over an hour, Kat dropped down and Kim won her second immunity in a row.
After the challenge, everyone started to scramble. Alicia notice how strong Kat is and started a campaign to get her voted out. Alicia would rather go against someone who is easier to beat in an endurance competition than someone like Kat who lasted an hour in an immunity challenge that she did not have to win. Kim is dead set on voting out Sabrina; however she sees the perks in voting out Kat.
At tribal council Kat is very cocky and excited to get to the vote. She loves blindsides; she thinks it’s fun and exciting. Kat got her wish, a blindside. Unfortunately, it was Kat that was voted out 6-1. Leaving in tears, Kat made her exit from this season of Survivor and becomes the first female on the jury.
This was the best blindside this season. This was the best blindside in a loooong time. Everyone’s reactions were priceless. Please go back and watch Leif’s reaction around the 41:10 mark. Oh man, this makes Survivor fun, not a documentary on how Kim is playing a great social game bleh bleh bleh.
