A Roanoke landmark is turning another year older this weekend.
The Texas Tavern turns 83 on Saturday. The restaurant, located on Church Avenue in downtown Roanoke first opened in 1930.
The restaurant's Facebook page says it will sell hotdogs, hamburgers and bowls of its famous chili all for 83 cents.
The second Texas Tavern, (which was forced to change it's name to "Texas Inn" when the original owner sold it), in Lynchuburg is still going strong, and just opened it's second location in town. Who don't like the Texas Tavern?????
