Three people were hurt when a Virginia Department of Transportation truck and a car collided Friday morning. The crash tied up traffic on Route 221 between Bedford and Forest for a while.

State Police say the driver of the truck pulled out in front of the car around 7:20 a.m.  He's been charged with failing to yeild the right of way.

None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
