With more people having smartphones these days, the Roanoke Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau is hopping on board with a new high-tech tool to help folks find their way around the region.
It now has a mobile Web site. You can find it at www.visitroanokeva.com on your smartphone or www.visitroanokeva.mobi from your computer.
The site is location based, so it makes it easy for users to find the nearest restaurant, landmark or other place of interest while they're out and about.
People using the site have access to tourist destinations not only in the immediate Roanoke area, but stretching to places like Floyd and Smith Mountain Lake.
