A tractor-trailer accident has closed one lane of traffic on Interstate 81 North in Botetourt County.
The accident is just south of Exit 168.
The north left lane is closed.
The tractor-trailer is in the median.
The Virginia Department of Transportation is reporting a three-mile backup.

This stretch should be competely re-done to only curve once not twice around a pointless section where it goes from one direction to another of a curve. How many more wrecks do they need here before something is done or how many more lives are lost before something is done?
The news should just create a page titled "I-81 in Botetourt County Accidents." It's a weekly occurance in this strecth. Used to live here and I've seen it all first hand. VDOT shold be ashamed they built the road un-level. Unacceptable.
