The accidents on Interstate 77 North on the New River Bridge in Wythe County have been cleared and traffic delays are no longer expected, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

9:07 a.m.: Ice is to blame for a wreck that has both lanes of Interstate 77 North blocked on the bridge over the New River in Wythe County.
State Police say the bridge is icy and it's caused three wrecks in all.
Two of the wrecks were cars sliding on the ice and hitting the guard rail.
The third involved two cars hitting each other.
State Police don't think anyone is hurt in any of the wrecks.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, there is a two-mile backup in the area.

8:15 a.m.: A multiple-vehicle accident is slowing traffic on Interstate 77 North in Wythe County.
The accident is about two miles north of Exit 24.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, there is a one-mile backup.
The north left lane and right lane are closed.
