ROANOKE COUNTY, Va.—
Be ready for a traffic back-up in Roanoke County starting Tuesday.
The left lane of the Route 220 bridge over Back Creek will be closed at 8:00 pm. Workers will be making repairs to that bridge until 2:00 Wednesday afternoon.
Back Creek is about 4.5 miles south of Route 419 near Red Hill Baptist Church.
The other lanes will be open during that time, but expect delays.

A Roanoke County road will be closed Tuesday, and it won't reopen for at least a month.
Workers will start replacing a pipe along Route 624 at McAfee Run.
That's South of Route 311 in the Catawba area.
Detours will be set up.
The work is scheduled to be finished in mid-August, but if the weather's bad during that time, it could take longer.
