A North Carolina bus dispatcher will stand trial in Virginia in June on charges stemming from a wreck that killed four passengers.
Media outlets report that 41-year-old Zhao Jian Chen of Greensboro, N.C. pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Caroline County Circuit Court to four involuntary manslaughter counts.
Circuit Judge Joseph Ellis scheduled Chen's trial for June 18. The judge also issued a gag order sought by Chen's lawyer.
Last week, Commonwealth's Attorney Tony Spencer said Chen told Sky Express bus driver Kin Yiu Cheung of New York to continue driving after Cheung told him he was too tired to drive.
Cheung's bus swerved off Interstate 95 about 30 miles north of Richmond, hit an embankment and overturned on May 31, 2011.
Cheung also faces involuntary manslaughter charges.
