March 14, 2011 - 5:50 p.m.: Sheriff's deputies in Amherst County have arrested a third person in connection to the robbery .
21 year old Jonathan McKetney of Madison Heights has been charged with robbery and use of a firearm in the commision of a felony.

The Amherst County Sheriff's Office investigated an armed robbery at the Shell Gas Station 4851 South Amherst Highway in Madison Heights Saturday.
At approximately 2:26 p.m., a male entered the gas station with a mask on, produced a handgun, and demanded money.
The male fled the store with cash and was observed by bystanders running off.
Alert citizens observed the suspect, running from the scene, and obtained not only a detailed description, but a specific direction of travel.
The information provided by the tipsters provided a starting point for deputies who were able to identify the suspect in short order and make arrests not only for the robbery suspect but for the person assisting him by driving a get away vehicle.
Arrested in the incident were: Quincy James Tremaine Wilson, a 19 year old male of Branch Drive Madison Heights.
Mr. Wilson is charged with robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and wearing a mask.
Arrested as an accessory before the fact was Blake Edward Randolph Miller, a 20 year old male of Hilltop Drive Madison Heights, and Jonathan L McKetney, a 21 year old male of Branch Drive Madison Heights.
Miller and McKetney were both charged with robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Blake and McKetney assisted in the get away vehicle following the robbery.
All three subjects are being held in the Amherst County Jail pending a preliminary hearing in Amherst General District Court.

Two men have been charged with armed robbery in Madison Heights.
It happened around 2:30 Saturday afternoon at the Stop in Food Stores on South Amherst Highway.
The robbers pulled a gun on the clerk and demanded money.
Police arrested Blake Miller and Quincy Wilson late Saturday night and charged them with felony armed robbery and use of a firearm in the commision of a felony.
