Two people are in jail after a mobile methamphetamine lab was found inside of a van parked at LewisGale Medical Center in Salem on Wednesday.
Just before 10 a.m. a person checked into the emergency room at LewisGale suffering from chemical exposure.
The person told hospital staff about the vehicle, and when they checked the car officers also found materials for making methamphetamine inside the van. They also found a man inside the van.
30-year-old Marlon Adkins and 24-year-old Elena Remina have been charged with having methamphetamine, having materials to make methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. Adkins and Remina are transients, according to the Salem Police Department.
They are being held at the Roanoke County/Salem Jail.
