MARTINSVILLE, Va.—
Two Martinsville men are charged with breaking into a car.
On Wednesday night two officers saw a vehicle parked behind a home with several items inside. The vehicle appeared to be broken into.
The officers also noticed the back door of a home was forced open, and searched the home. When they got upstairs they found Matthew Griggs, 27, of Martinsville, and Michael Wayne Bowers, 27, Patrick Springs, hiding in the attic.
Griggs and Bowers have been charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny.
Investigators say they recovered more than $750 worth of merchandise from the vehicle.
