Two people are in the hospital after being shot.
Now, deputies are looking for the gunman.
We're told both are in stable condition and expected to be OK.
Investigators aren't saying much about the investigation right now, mainly because they're still trying to find out exactly what happened.
Here's what we do know.
Henry County Sheriff Lane Perry tells WDBJ7 at 10:30 Wednesday morning two people were shot at a home on Birchwood Road in Axton -- that's between Martinsville and Danville.
The men were taken to the hospital in Martinsville.
This afternoon investigators were at the home looking for any clues that could help in this case.
Perry says deputies haven't arrested anyone because they're not getting cooperation from neighbors and people involved.
They're urging anyone with any info to call the Henry County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Perry says there are rumors circulating around the county exaggerating the shooting.
He says the bottom line is two men were shot and they are expected to be OK.
No one has been arrested.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident that originated on Birchwood Road in Axton, VA. At approximately 10:36 am the Dispatch Center received the first call that a subject had been shot and was being transported to the hospital by a family member. Deputies made contact with both shooting victims at the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County Emergency Room shortly thereafter. At the ER Deputies discovered that on 02/15/2012 at approximately 10:30 am there was a shooting incident where both victims were injured at 1974 Birchwood Rd in the Axton area of the county. The victims are: John W. Rivalte, 50 years of age, who resides at 1974 Birchwood Rd and Ronnie W. Jackson a 36 year old male who resides at 1650 Birchwood Rd, both suffered gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County by personal vehicles for treatment of their wounds. At this time, information on the shooter is a Hispanic male wearing a blue coat, dark hat, medium build, and clean shaven. The suspect was driving a dark color Nissan Titan pickup either 4 door or extended cab. Deputies and Investigators responded to the crime scene at 1974 Birchwood Road, Axton. The scene was processed for evidence and a search of the crime scene discovered two weapons, a set of scales, and a small amount of drugs. At this time we do not feel we have received all of the relevant information in reference to this incident.

Two people were shot at a home Wednesday morning in Axton.
The shooting was reported around 11:30 a.m. in the area of Old Liberty Drive and Birchwood Road.
Their injuries are not life-threatening.
No arrests have been made yet.
The Henry County Sheriff's Office says they are not getting much cooperation from the victims.
