They say they want to save the American Dream, and they're doing it one city at a time.
Sunday, the "Values Bus" tour stopped at First Baptist Church in Roanoke. The tour's slogan is "Your Money, Your Values, Your Vote."
The Family Research Council and the Heritage Foundation have been traveling around the country since January talking about family values and issues- the groups say matter.
The conservative groups say people need to stand up for what they believe.
"There are 60 million values voters in America. Thirty million are registered to vote and only 15 million voted in 2008. So, we're determined to see those number change. We want people in America, families in America, to say we want our voice heard in the public square," said Joshua Shepherd of the Heritage Foundation.
The tour handed out information inside the church. After this morning's visit, the bus tour continued to Lynchburg. It will be in Richmond on Tuesday.
