One lane is closed in each direction on Interstate 581 in downtown Roanoke after a vehicle fire.
Traffic is still moving slowly in the area.

Traffic is backed up on Interstate 581 North in Roanoke because of a vehicle fire.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation the north left lane, center lane, and right lane are closed near the Roanoke Civic Center.
Viewers tell WDBJ7 that a tow truck caught on fire in front of Member One Federal Credit Union.
The Virginia Department of Transportation is asking drivers to avoid the area, and to expect to delays.
