A legislator in Virginia is asking Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli to investigate if Governor Bob McDonnell violated Virginia law by holding committee meetings of the government reform commission in secret.
A delegate in Alexandria wrote to Cuccinelli after a Washington Post article over the weekend alleges committees have come together out of public view and with no input from Democrats for two months.
McDonnell's staff has said the committees are not subject to Virginia law because they were formed by the governor and not by the commission.
