A Virginia State Police helicopter had to make an emergency landing in Burnt Chimney on Wednesday afternoon.
The helicopter had a mechanical problem, and landed in a field behind a convenience store in Burnt Chimney.
No one was hurt. Two people were on board.
The helicopter was headed to Abingdon.
State police are waiting for a flat-bed truck to come haul away the helicopter.
