The Virginia War Memorial is missing its American flag.
Someone stole that flag from the memorial in Richmond around 3:30am Sunday.
The thieves were able to cut the rope that holds the flag up a tall flag pole.
They did it without being noticed by security guards.
The flag will cost a $150 to replace, but for memorial leaders the significance of the loss is much greater.
