UPDATED: Bland County woman accused of child porn charges involving infant

A woman from Bland County is in a federal jail, accused of a sex crime against an infant.

Investigators say Jessica Shockley sent pictures of herself performing a sex act on the baby to a convicted sex offender in Wyoming.

That man told investigators the child in the photos may be the woman's own son.

The pictures were sent during the summer and fall of last year.

A Virginia woman accused of taking photos of herself while molesting an infant has pleaded not guilty in Wyoming to federal charges of producing and distributing child pornography.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports 23-year-old Jessica Shockley is accused of sending the photos to a 49-year-old convicted sex offender in Rock Springs. She entered her plea Thursday and remains in custody at the Natrona County Detention Center.

No one was available at the detention center or the county sheriff's office to provide more details Thursday night.

James Hawkins pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to receiving child pornography.

Shockley faces up to 30 years in prison if she's convicted of the charges.

The U.S. Sentencing Commission says in 2010, only 10 of 1,677 people convicted of such charges were women.
