HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) --
A 39-year-old Virginia woman who traveled to Australia to have sex with a boy she met online has
been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison.
The U.S. attorney's office says Barbara Renee Case was sentenced Friday in federal court in Harrisonburg.
She previously pleaded guilty to traveling in foreign commerce and engaging in illicit
sexual conduct with a minor.
Case met the 15-year-old boy online in December 2007, when she was 36.
After five months of sexually explicit conversations online and on the telephone, Case flew to Australia and had sex with the boy numerous times over several days at a cabin she rented.
After the boy's parents reported him missing, authorities located the cabin and found the two inside.
