WDBJ7 will have comprehensive coverage on air and online of Tuesday’s national, state, and local elections, as well as state and local referendums.

Your Hometown News Leader will have coverage of the presidential election, as well as in-depth coverage of the presidential race here in the swing state of Virginia.

WDBJ7 will focus its coverage on the U.S. Senate race between George Allen and Tim Kaine, as well as the U.S. House races in the 5th, 6th, and 9th congressional districts.  We’ll also have results for the entire congressional makeup of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

WDBJ7 has reporters and photojournalists around the state from Bristol to Richmond, and Roanoke to Chatham. We will provide live streaming at several campaign headquarters throughout Tuesday. You can watch by clicking here.

From 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. WDBJ7 is planning to carry CBS' national election coverage. WDBJ7 will update local and state election results at 25 minutes and 55 minutes past every hour, starting at 7:25 p.m. The last cut-in will be at 10:55 p.m., leading directly into the 11 p.m. newscast. Each cut-in will be about four minutes in length. Airing of the local cut-ins is subject to change.

WDBJ7 also plans to live stream the local cut-ins. You can watch by clicking here.

Additionally, we will have up-to-the-minute voting results online that can be sorted by precinct. You will be able to search voting results for any locality in the state.

When you are not in front of your TV or computer, WDBJ7 will have up-to-the-minute election results on its mobile site and News App.

We’ll even keep you up-to-date on your drive home. WDBJ7 will be updating electronic billboards throughout the Roanoke Valley with election results.
