Wells Fargo/Wachovia conversion complete

So far so good for the Wells Fargo/Wachovia conversion.

Over the weekend, Wachovia accounts converted over to Wells Fargo.  This impacted nearly 300 branches throughout the state of Virginia.

A Wells Fargo spokesperson says there were no major problems.  Bank customers we talked to agree.

"They greeted me and telling me that my wait would probably take a while but not so.  It went very smoothly and almost normal," said Roger Hurt.

"I noticed it was a smooth transition.  I haven't [had] any problems.  I did the walk up window and all of my transactions have switched over," said Diane Harper.

A Wells Fargo spokesperson reminds customers they don't have to get a new ATM card or checks until the current one expires.

Some customers will have to change their password if they bank online.
