ROANOKE COUNTY, Va.—

Police say texting and driving sent a woman to the hospital in Roanoke County Saturday morning.

The accident happened shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Bradshaw Road.

Police say the driver was texting when she lost control of her car.

The car hit several trees before coming to a stop.

The woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Oh my gosh, what is wrong with some of you people??? Stop pointing fingers and get on your knees and pray for this young lady. Some of you have obviously forgotten what its like to be in your 20s...were it truthfully told, if what you did in your 20s was on the news, some of you wouldn't have a job, a spouse, and your own children would disown you. Did you ever play an 8 track, how about adjust the radio, how about a CB???? You self righteous, pretencious jerks! I don't support cell phone usage for any reason in the car, yet I do so myself...it's not just texting...if you have a security password you have to punch that in before you can then search your contacts and/or dial out. This young lady didn't create the demand for this technology all by herself!!!! Our society is notorious for establishing laws after the fact, but that's the way it works. Put your money where your big fat mouths are....take a day off from work....go to Richmond to the Capitol where the General Assembly is meeting and hold a sign up to show your support of "no phone usage in the car"...this isn't a younger generation problem...it's a society problem. Quit bashing this young girl, be thankful she is alive and that she didn't kill anyone...I know she will be...I know her. Hope the news has their facts straight. Her condition is such that they haven't even been able to interview her yet!
