Woman in jail for stabbing man in Lynchburg
A woman is facing malicious wounding charges following an early-morning stabbing in Lynchburg.

Police say Lamar Miller was found with with stab wounds around 1:20 a.m. Wednesday morning in the 1200 block of Pierce Street.

Miller has to have surgery for his wounds.

Investigators have charged Ebony Brown with malicious wounding.

Police say Miller and Brown know each other.

Brown is being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail without bond.

Here is the news release from the Lynchburg Police Department:

Lynchburg Police Officers responded to the 1200 block of Pierce Street at approximately 1:18 AM this morning for a stabbing.  The victim of the stabbing, Lamar Miller, was transported to the Lynchburg General Hospital by the Lynchburg Fire Department.  Lamar Miller is being treated for his injury in the Emergency Department of the Lynchburg General Hospital and a subsequent surgery is imminently pending.

During the course of the investigation Ebony Monteya Brown was identified as a suspect in the stabbing.  Upon further investigation by Detectives, Ebony Monteya Brown was arrested and charged.  Ebony Monteya Brown is currently charged with malicious wounding.  At this time it is not known whether or not the injury will be permanent since Lamar Miller is still being treated for his injury.  The victim of the stabbing, Lamar Millner, and Ebony Monteya Brown are known to each other.  Ebony Monteya Brown is being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail Authority’s Lynchburg Adult Detention Center without bond.
