Martinsville woman killed in Patrick County hit-and-run crash
Virginia State Police investigators are looking for more information following a deadly hit and run accident in Patrick County on Tuesday night.

Police say it happened around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday on Route 58, just west of Route 694. Investigators believe that a woman riding in a 2001 Ford Explorer jumped out of the vehicle and landed in the right lane. She was then struck by a vehicle that didn't stop.

The woman, 30-year-old Brittney Fretwell of Martinsville was taken to Pioneer Hospital in Stuart where she died a short time later.

Investigators are looking for a white or light colored sedan with square headlights that might have front end or undercarriage damage.
