The driver of a catering truck was involved in a bizarre incident this morning on Elkhart's north side.
Elkhart police say the catering truck clipped the rear end of a vehicle while both were northbound on Cassopolis Street near Emerson Drive.
The catering truck then jumped a curb in front of Encore Theater.
Police say the truck then hydroplaned across the parking lot of the theater on its side, leaving a long trail of various snack items in its wake.
Customers of a nearby restaurant ran to help the driver from the overturned truck. She was not injured.
Police say they are glad this happened at a time when there were no cars in the theater's parking lot.
