My Best Shot -- Grenada

When Maryann Forster of Leesburg stopped in Grenada during a cruise on the Emerald Princess, she was struck by the contrast between her giant, engine-driven cruise ship and the sailing ship next to it at the dock in St. George’s, the capital. She said that she had been to Grenada years ago, when she visited Fort George, overlooking the town. This time, the capital was alive with new construction. She said the juxtaposition of the ships seemed to be a metaphor for the old 18th-century fort and the new city.
